With 13 configurations and 3 model types for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler, deciding which is best for your needs is certainly easier said than done. Here, we will take a look at the three Jeep Wrangler model packages to help you choose your best Wrangler.
Jeep Wrangler Sport
The Sport model is the most “basic” of the Wranglers; however, that doesn’t mean it comes without its fair share of pros. If you’re searching for your first Jeep, the Sport is a great option. It’s lower price tag means you can still experience Jeep capabilities on a smaller budget.
The Sport model comes with a basic stereo system, standard tires and wheels. An A/C unit is also optional, so if staying cool is a priority, be sure to purchase accordingly. Sport models come with a soft-top; however, hard-top upgrades are also available.
Two-door 2017 Sport pricing starts at around $24,000.
Jeep Wrangler Sahara
The Sahara model is a step up from the Sport, and its upgrades primarily focus on the vehicle’s interior. A/C is standard on the Sahara and the model receives an upgraded stereo system with Alpine speakers and numerous customization options, including leather seats. The Sahara allows you to navigate the rugged Jeep lifestyle while staying comfortable inside.
On the outside, the Sahara model’s upgrades include 18” wheels along with a matched hardtop. The starting price for a two-door 2017 Sahara is around $30,000.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
The Rubicon is the most pricey of the three Wrangler models, and it also has the highest capabilities for off-road traveling. The Rubicon comes equipped with Jeep’s Rock-Trac 4WD system which allows it to scale rough terrain with ease. These upgraded features, if damaged, will also cost more to fix than other models, so be sure to take this into account when deciding.
While the Rubicon’s upgrades are primarily focused on the exterior, the model’s interior comes with everything available in the Sahara model package.
With all of these upgrades, however, the 2017 Jeep Rubicon comes with a higher price tag than either the Sport of Sahara. The starting price is around $33,000.
